I tried to get to the festival early and walk from a nearby parking garage to the staging site of the parade. I found if you can arrive early then you have a much better chance to meet and photograph the participants of the parade. As I finally arrive at the staging site, I observe the detail and beautiful arrangement of the traditional costumes at the Viva La Vida Celebration. So much work has been carefully crafted in building the costumes into works of art.
There are many people in the staging area and each representing proud heritages. I went by each group and asked a number of people if I could take their photo. Thank you to the people that allowed me to take a photograph. Your dedication and passion for representing your culture and honoring your traditions is inspiring.
